WINTER taxes are mailed to property owners the first of December each year by the Akron Township Treasurer. DEADLINE to pay winter taxes is February 28 of each year. After the deadline, taxes will be returned to the property owner and it is their responsibility to contact the Tuscola County Treasurer's office for penalties.
SUMMER taxes are collected by the Tuscola County Treasurer.
