Ambulance Service:

The ACW ambulance established in 1977 is a cooperative effort between Akron Columbia and Wisner townships. The state-of-the-art ambulance is housed at the Columbia Township Hall in the village of Unionville. This is staffed by local resident volunteers consisting of 13 Emergency Medical Technincians and five Medical First Responders. Cooperative efforts with Bay Medical Center provide residents with calm lifesaving response from pickup to emergency room.
